Operating Characteristics Of A Pulsacoil 2000
The hot water that comes out of a hot water tap is not stored inside a Pulsacoil 2000 system but is produced instantaneously. When we say “instantaneously”, we do not mean like an electric shower and when we say “not stored” we mean the hot water inside the system is not the same water coming out of the hot water taps, unlike standard hot water cylinders.

It does this by transferring the stored heat across through the plated heat exchanger to the mains water feed. In most other types of water heaters which store hot water and the same hot water exits the hot water taps, should not drop below 50°C for health reasons.
Another advantage the Pulsacoil 2000 system gives is that it reduces the chances of scalding by allowing the temperature of the hot water at the tap to be controlled at about 55°C. This then causes a slight disadvantage which is that the water takes a little time to stabilise in temperature when a hot water tap is opened. This is usually 30 seconds.

This also means you can fill your bath with hot water in minutes reducing the waiting time and loss of hot water temperature. When we say “all the hot water you are likely to need under normal circumstances” this is dependent on the Pulsacoil 2000 storage tank size. If you install a undersized system, this will not give you all the hot water you are likely to need under normal circumstances.

The Pulsacoil 2000 system will ensure that the energy it needs is minimised, avoiding costly us of electricity by taking advantage of off-peak tariff and reduced rates whenever they are available. We would recommend customers do not leave both on-peak and off-peak supplies on together as this will increase costs.
